Power Animal portraits in black ink
Original drawings, fine art prints, and commissions.
The Work
In Mexican tradition, the nahual is the animal that walks beside you — a companion, a mirror, a quiet source of strength. This idea is at the heart of my practice. I draw Power Animals — nahuales — as a way of meeting that animal on paper, with attention and a sense of mystery.
Each drawing begins with observation and unfolds slowly, through line, repetition, and symbolic detail. Working in black ink on paper, I return again and again to animals as carriers of presence, memory, and quiet power. The work is shaped by growing up in Mexico — by its animals, its patterns, its way of seeing the natural world as alive and interconnected.
“Thank you for this beautiful drawing of my Power Animal. I connected to it immediately, and it accompanies me now. Your work is powerful and personal. I loved the preparation before, and how the piece came to be.”

About the Artist
I'm a Mexican artist based in Portugal. My intricate ink drawings explore the bond between animals, nature, and the unseen.
Drawing from Mexican cosmology, where all beings are seen as interconnected, my work is rooted in the nahual — the animal counterpart that walks through life beside us. Through meticulous linework and symbolic detail, my Power Animal portraits become meditations on presence, archetypal meaning, and our relationship to the natural world.
I work through an intuitive and contemplative process, creating pieces that invite quiet reflection — where fine-art craftsmanship and symbolic depth meet.
Workshops
For those who want to explore the deeper world behind the artwork, I also offer occasional private sessions and small-group workshops centered on animal symbolism, reflection, and creative process.
These workshops extend the same themes present in my art — intuition, presence, and connection to the natural world — in a more personal and immersive format.
